Masters of Horror review

Posted : 11 years, 8 months ago on 19 July 2012 04:27 (A review of Masters of Horror )

Masters of Horror has some great individual episodes. The quality of this horror anthology is inconsistent, but it does have a good variety of horror genres.

I recommend against watching the series straight through. I recommend reading about the episodes beforehand and picking only what interests you the most.

I posted a ranked list of [Link removed - login to see].

Terraria review

Posted : 11 years, 9 months ago on 1 July 2012 08:52 (A review of Terraria)

Terraria is a very addictive game. It's well designed and fun, especially in multiplayer, but the hours you'd spend doing everything in the game (I spent about 100 hours) doesn't add up to a meaningful or unique enough experience; Terria's gameplay becomes too repetitive to be very enjoyable throughout the game.

I don't recommend Terraria for completionists or people with 'addictive personalities' because it's not worth the time and you might end up feeling like you're playing in a Skinner box.

Terraria is fun procedurally generated world to explore, but not worth finishing.

Sony PlayStation 3 review

Posted : 11 years, 11 months ago on 8 April 2012 09:03 (A review of Sony PlayStation 3)

If Sony had software or hardware backwards compatibility for PS2 games on all models, instead of the few earlier fat models, the console would have a 10/10.
You can play online for free, unlike with the Xbox 360.

Blue Dragon review

Posted : 12 years, 1 month ago on 3 February 2012 03:55 (A review of Blue Dragon)

The game's greatest flaw is the [Link removed - login to see] Eternity, from an otherwise awesome soundtrack. If listening to this song while you battle hundreds of times doesn't deter you, the childishly cute [Link removed - login to see] may not be your style. Blue Dragon is about a 50 hour game, and isn't too gratifying story-wise for adults because it's a game aimed towards younger people, and the plot isn't great enough to have as broad of an appeal as a game like Earthbound. The game's mechanics are great, but fighting through the blue dragons your characters summon wasn't too involving because of the limited number of moves and animations. Techincal aspects like the fighting menu and non-random encounters are perfect. Blue Dragon is pretty fun and innovative, but it isn't a memorable enough experience to be recommended.
